1st Grade Music Google Form May 18 - 22

* Let's try Grandma's Feather bed one more time and see if you can sing all the words to the chorus even when he sings it fast.

It was 9 feet high and six feet wide soft as a downy chick.
It was made from the feathers of forty 'leven geese
Took a whole bolt of cloth for the tick
It could hold 8 kids and 4 hound dogs and a piggy we stole from the shed. We didn't get much sleep but we had a lot of fun on grandma's feather bed!




* Review "The Name Game" song. See if you are better at singing the rhymes to the names. Try and add more names into the song with the kareoke version. 

Lesson 2

* This is a funny song called "A Ram Sam Sam". It uses a lot of nonsense words. I will do a video for you of me singing it with motions. Then you try on your own!




* Let's get moving again to the dance "Shake Your Sillies Out." Come up with your own ways to move!

Chorus Lesson 5th Grade Google Form May 18 - 22 * Last week you learned how "The Star Spangled Banner" was written. Most of you sang it in Flag Day last year and we always start the 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony with our national anthem. Listen to this video with the lyrics then try singing along.  * At moving up ceremony we usually pick a sing from the play for you to sing for your families. I am so disappointed you didn't get to perform "The Jungle Book" this year. But I would have picked "Bare Necessities for you to sing together. Sing the whole song! * This is another song I would have chosen for you to sing called "Nothing More." Listen to the music and the words. Then try singing the chorus, the repeated part. Chorus Lesson 5th Grade Google Form June 1 - 5 * Sing the "Star Spangled Banner" without looking at the words. Use a lot of air so you can sing loudly at the end and hit the high notes. Start out medium volume then get louder as the song goes on. * Practice singing "Bare Necessities" without looking at the words. * Review singing all of "Nothing More." Think about your time at Newfield while singing the song and the meaning of the words. Music Lesson * Review singing the song called "Epo I Tai Tai E". On the google stream I will have a video of the body percussion for Level 3. It will take some practice, it is tricky. Watch the video then try on your own. * When I think of spring I think of baseball. I am a Yankee fan. Do you have a favorite baseball team? This is a fun song "Take Me Out the Ballgame". Listen to the music then try singing on your own.
