1st Grade Music Lessons Week of May 25 - 29

Lesson 1


* Review song "A Ram Sam Sam". See if are better at singing the words and doing the motions at the same time. Try singing it faster and faster!



* Do you remember the song "3 Little Fishies?" 
I will review the chorus for you on the google stream with motions. Then go back to your lesson and listen to song and try to sing the chorus when it comes in!


* Let's get moving to "Boom Chicka Boom". Have fun doing the motions and speaking the words. 


Lesson 2

* In 3 Little Fishies see if you can sing the verses too! I will sing the verses for you with motions in the google stream. Then you go back and try on your own!


* Let's sing "Yankee Doodle". Then watch me sing the song with motions you would do with a rhythm stick on the google stream. You can use a pencil or pen!

 Chorus Lesson 4th Grade Google Form May 18 - 22 * Review singing "The Star Spangled Banner." When you sing it try and sound very proud. Here is the background music for you to sing along with after you try it without background music. See if you can sing it without looking at the words. * Review the song  God Bless America. Use a lot of air when singing it since it gets very high at the end of the song. * This week you will learn a new song called "You're A Grand Old Flag." It's a song everyone usually joins in on at Flag Day. Listen to it and try singing on your own.                                                             Music Lesson * This week you will learn a fun body percussion song called "Epo I Tai Tai E". It is a song from New Zealand. First listen to the melody and the words. Then try singing along. Then on the google stream I will sing the song for you and add simple body percussion.

5th Grade Music and Chorus Lessons Week of June 1 - 5

Chorus Lesson 5th Grade Google Form June 1 - 5 * Sing the "Star Spangled Banner" without looking at the words. Use a lot of air so you can sing loudly at the end and hit the high notes. Start out medium volume then get louder as the song goes on. * Practice singing "Bare Necessities" without looking at the words. * Review singing all of "Nothing More." Think about your time at Newfield while singing the song and the meaning of the words. Music Lesson * Review singing the song called "Epo I Tai Tai E". On the google stream I will have a video of the body percussion for Level 3. It will take some practice, it is tricky. Watch the video then try on your own. * When I think of spring I think of baseball. I am a Yankee fan. Do you have a favorite baseball team? This is a fun song "Take Me Out the Ballgame". Listen to the music then try singing on your own.
