2nd Grade Music Lessons Week of May 25 - 29

Lesson 1


* Let's review "Epo I Tai Tai E". First sing the song then add in the motions. In the 2nd lesson I will add more motions.


* Next you will learn a fun song called Polly Wolly Doodle". I will sing the chorus for you on the google stream then you can go back and try singing it with the music. Here are the words to the chorus.

Fare thee well, fare thee well, fare thee well my fairy fay. For I'm off to Louisiana for to see my Suzianna. Singin' polly wolly doodle all the day.


Lesson 2

* Watch me on the google stream for the new motions to "Epo I Tai Tai E". Then practice without the music. After you've think you've got it then try doing the motions with the music.


* Review the chorus of "Polly Wolly Doodle". Then try singing the 1st 2 verses. Notice the pattern where you fill in polly wolly doodle all the day in between.

 Chorus Lesson 4th Grade Google Form May 18 - 22 * Review singing "The Star Spangled Banner." When you sing it try and sound very proud. Here is the background music for you to sing along with after you try it without background music. See if you can sing it without looking at the words. * Review the song  God Bless America. Use a lot of air when singing it since it gets very high at the end of the song. * This week you will learn a new song called "You're A Grand Old Flag." It's a song everyone usually joins in on at Flag Day. 5th Grade Music and Chorus Lessons Week of June 1 - 5

Chorus Lesson 5th Grade Google Form June 1 - 5 * Sing the "Star Spangled Banner" without looking at the words. Use a lot of air so you can sing loudly at the end and hit the high notes. Start out medium volume then get louder as the song goes on. * Practice singing "Bare Necessities" without looking at the words. * Review singing all of "Nothing More." Think about your time at Newfield while singing the song and the meaning of the words. Music Lesson * Review singing the song called "Epo I Tai Tai E". On the google stream I will have a video of the body percussion for Level 3. It will take some practice, it is tricky. Watch the video then try on your own. * When I think of spring I think of baseball. I am a Yankee fan. Do you have a favorite baseball team? This is a fun song "Take Me Out the Ballgame". Listen to the music then try singing on your own.
