Chorus Lesson

 I am very sad you didn't get to perform in the Spring Concert and Flag Day this year. You sounded great together in chorus and sang with a lot of energy and happiness. Sing all the songs we would have done in the spring concert. Ask your family which one they liked the best.

* Sing all the patriotic songs in honor of Flag Day. I'll also post a fun song called Livin' In America by James Brown. Notice how he lists a lot of cities all over the United States.

5th Grade Music and Chorus Lessons Week of June 1 - 5

Chorus Lesson 5th Grade Google Form June 1 - 5 * Sing the "Star Spangled Banner" without looking at the words. Use a lot of air so you can sing loudly at the end and hit the high notes. Start out medium volume then get louder as the song goes on. * Practice singing "Bare Necessities" without looking at the words. * Review singing all of "Nothing More." Think about your time at Newfield while singing the song and the meaning of the words. Music Lesson * Review singing the song called "Epo I Tai Tai E". On the google stream I will have a video of the body percussion for Level 3. It will take some practice, it is tricky. Watch the video then try on your own. * When I think of spring I think of baseball. I am a Yankee fan. Do you have a favorite baseball team? This is a fun song "Take Me Out the Ballgame". Listen to the music then try singing on your own.

Lesson 1 1st Grade Music Google Form May 18 - 22 * Let's try Grandma's Feather bed one more time and see if you can sing all the words to the chorus even when he sings it fast. It was 9 feet high and six feet wide soft as a downy chick. It was made from the feathers of forty 'leven geese Took a whole bolt of cloth for the tick It could hold 8 kids and 4 hound dogs and a piggy we stole from the shed. We didn't get much sleep but we had a lot of fun on grandma's feather bed! * Review "The Name Game" song. See if you are better at singing the rhymes to the names.
